Recently, from mid-May to June, in North Vietnam, many areas were heavily flooded because strong rains occurred continuously with heavy wind.
Heavy rain and strong winds locally have seriously affected crops such as rice, vegetables, and flowers. Basil is also among them. After surveying, a number of large basil fields were flooded with heavy water, unable to drain in time, causing the entire plant to die.
According to the forecast, the weather will be sunny and hot, but there may still be heavy rain in the coming weeks.
Hopefully, the weather is favorable for the basil harvest and distillation, which is about to take place in mid-June.
